California vacations are hard to beat!

If you live on the West coast and want a spectacular getaway without a spectacular price, think about taking a California vacation. If you live further away, shop the California vacation packages, found in abundance on the net. California is one of the most sought after destinations, attracting visitors from all over the world. Lucky you, you’re already in the U.S.

The geography of California provides an amazing array of itineraries, from seaside adventures to ski resort vacations and just about everything in between. The rich history of California makes it easy to find so many interesting attractions, you can please every member of your family.

The history buff is well served with a visit to the Gold Country and any of the old  Spanish missions, hundreds of years old, all up and down the long coastline. Lake Tahoe is a fabulous destination, offering the most sublime scenery, in addition to fishing, boating, kayaking, horseback riding and world class winter skiing. San Francisco is a complete California vacation. This cosmopolitan city has everything, a captivating destination for all ages. With its many museums, theatres, Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Madame Tussuad’s, Alcatraz Island, Ghiradelli Square and the famed Golden Gate Park, your itinerary is full. A simple exploration of Golden Gate Park can occupy many days, visiting the Aquarium, Planetarium, the Japanese Tea Garden and the Conservatory of Flowers. Take a day trip north to Bodega Bay to explore the marshy peninsula. Go clamming.

If time allows, venture south to San Jose’s Rosicrucian Museum or take a look at the Winchester Mystery House. Press south to Monterey and the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, of Steinbeck fame. Meander on to Hearst Castle, a bit further south.

As for Los Angeles, you’ve got many days of packed entertainment here. Visit the Chinese Theatre, Universal Studios, Sunset Strip and of course, Disneyland.
